Job summary

Think Recruitment is seeking an Experienced and professional Responsive Repairs Planner (Scheduler) to join a leading organisation in Maidstone. You will manage scheduling across defined patches and coordinate responsive repairs from start to finish, ensuring first‑time fixes where possible.

The role is based in Maidstone with hybrid working by agreement. You will liaise with residents, operatives and customer services, prioritise urgent repairs, and keep appointments on track to meet SLAs.

Qualifications

  • GCSE/O'Level standard or equivalent.
  • Experience scheduling work within a maintenance environment.
  • Experience delivering a front‑line, customer‑focused service.
  • Previous experience working within a housing management or maintenance environment.
  • Experience working within an inner‑city, multi‑cultural environment.
  • Experience working closely with tenants and residents.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using scheduling and maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the maintenance scheduling diary for an allocated geographical patch from end to end.
  • Diagnose and book responsive repair works to maximise first‑time fixes.
  • Coordinate closely with Operational Support and Customer Services teams to ensure works are scheduled effectively.
  • Act as the first point of contact for scheduling enquiries from residents, operatives and external partners.
  • Resolve scheduling issues quickly, professionally and in line with service standards.
  • Keep appointments on track and ensure any changes or issues are dealt with promptly.
  • Triage urgent repairs and ensure they are prioritised appropriately.
  • Monitor workloads and appointments to support the achievement of SLAs and KPIs.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and tenants to provide updates and manage expectations.
  • Work from the Maidstone office with hybrid working available by agreement with your manager.

Job description

Experienced and professional Responsive Repairs Planner (Scheduler) required to work with a leading and highly reputable organisation.

My client requires an experienced Responsive Repairs Planner (Scheduler) to join their maintenance team, managing scheduling across defined geographical patches and ensuring responsive repairs are coordinated efficiently from start to completion.

Location: Maidstone

Pay: £19.51 per hour via umbrella

Hours: 35 Hours

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing
