Job summary

Wates Smartspace is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our Responsive Maintenance team in Walton on Thames. You will perform repairs and maintenance to keep residents’ homes safe and comfortable while delivering a first-class service.

You will work with colleagues, subcontractors and customers to resolve issues, using PDA to document work and communicate progress. A full UK driving licence and a proactive, customer-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plumber in repairs, maintenance or social housing.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Capable of working independently with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance and renewals within occupied and void properties.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely.
• Undertake minor multi-trade works where appropriate.
• Work closely with colleagues, subcontractors and customers to resolve issues effectively.
• Use handheld technology (PDA) to manage jobs, provide updates and documentation.
• Identify follow-on works and communicate requirements to supervisors and schedulers.
• Deliver an excellent customer experience during every visit.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations and company standards.

What You'll Be Doing
