Job summary

Mears in Dover is seeking a Planner to coordinate repairs and maintenance in the Repairs & Maintenance team. You will schedule responsive works, allocate tasks to operatives and subcontractors, and manage diaries to optimise productivity while keeping residents informed.

The role requires strong organisational skills, experience in social housing environments, and proficient use of job management systems to ensure timely, first-time completion of services within agreed timescales.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and scheduling repairs and maintenance
• Ability to coordinate multi-trade teams and subcontractors
• Strong communication with residents, operatives and managers

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule responsive repairs and maintenance efficiently
• Allocate jobs to operatives and subcontractors by trade, location and priority
• Maintain accurate diaries, workloads and appointment records
• Prioritise urgent repairs and monitor progress to completion
• Liaise with Supervisors and clients to coordinate works
• Keep residents informed about appointments and changes
