Job summary

Peabody is recruiting a Commercial Assistant to help keep our repairs service accurate, efficient and on budget. You’ll be part of a small, essential team coding contractor repair works, validating invoices and reviewing SOR codes to ensure value for residents.

In this 14‑month fixed‑term role, you’ll maintain records, support commercial reporting and keep stakeholders informed while collaborating with contractors, planners and colleagues to deliver high‑quality, cost‑efficient repairs for our

Qualifications

• Experience applying SOR codes within repairs or maintenance
• Familiarity with CVR processes
• Strong data accuracy and confident administrative skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word and Excel
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills and confidence working across teams
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy

Responsibilities

• Review contractor repair orders and apply the correct SOR (Schedule of Rates) codes
• Validate contractor invoices against agreed rates
• Review repair photos and reports to ensure works meet Peabody’s quality standards
• Assist in preparing weekly cost and productivity reports
• Support the Commercial Analyst in tracking financial performance and budget adherence
• Maintain cost databases, records and commercial tracking tools
• Support productivity reviews and assist with audits
• Work closely with contractors, planners, supervisors and commercial colleagues
• Provide administrative support to the Commercial Manager and wider team
• Help ensure commercial controls are followed and data is consistently accurate
