Job summary

Platform Housing Group is seeking a Rent Assistant (Rent Compliance) to support the Rents & Service Charge team on a 6-month fixed term or secondment basis. You will help with affordable rent calculations, liaise with valuers, and set rents in line with guidance, ensuring compliance with the Rent Standard.

The role offers comprehensive training, a supportive team, and development opportunities, with home-based work and occasional office travel to Birmingham Business Park.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing is essential, with an understanding of rents & service charges.
• Strong numeracy skills and experience handling large numerical databases.
• Experience using a housing management system (e.g., Open Housing).
• Intermediate Excel skills and ability to manage data efficiently.
• Proficient with technology and able to apply it to improve processes.
• Good organisation and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for the Rents and Service Charges team.
• Assist with affordable rent calculations and liaise with valuers.
• Set rents for the Group in line with Homes England guidance.
• Ensure compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing's Rent Standard.
