Job summary

Platform Housing Group is recruiting two Rent Assistants to join our Income team. You will handle customer inquiries mainly by telephone, keep accurate records, and contribute to resolving rent account queries as part of a busy frontline team.

You'll work 35 hours per week, typically 8:30am-5:00pm, with home-based duties and fortnightly travel to our Birmingham Business Park office. We offer comprehensive training, supportive mentoring, and a range of family-friendly and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working with customers in a customer focused environment.
• Ideally understanding welfare benefits or money management advice (training provided).
• Ability to show empathy, strong listening skills and a positive attitude.
• Housing sector experience is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer calls about rent accounts with a focus on excellent service.
• Keep accurate records of customer interactions on our systems.
• Support a busy frontline Income team with a collaborative approach.
• Take advantage of training and mentoring offered to new starters.
• Assist customers with money management advice where appropriate.
