Job summary

RES is seeking a field-based Technical Sales Engineer to survey sites, specify installations, and deliver on-site quotations for air source heat pump systems across East England.

You will design heat pump solutions, produce proposals, supervise MCS-compliant installations, and provide remote technical support to installers and homeowners. The role requires travel and occasional overnight stays, with a competitive package and company car.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to translate technical data for non-technical customers.
• Experience with heat pump design, installation standards and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of MCS standards and building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical site surveys and agree specifications with installers/homeowners; produce on-site quotations and commissions for air source heat pump systems.
• Design heat pump solutions, create room-by-room heat loss calculations and proposals; maintain CRM records.
• Act as Nominated Technical Supervisor for regional MCS projects to ensure standards compliance.
• Provide phone-based and remote technical support to installers and customers.
