Job summary
RES is seeking a Field Based Technical Sales Engineer in East England to conduct technical site surveys, design heat pump systems and provide quotations. You will oversee MCS projects, ensure compliance, and support installers with on-site and remote technical expertise.

Qualifications
- Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Plumbing & Heating.
- Heat pump design & installation experience.
- Knowledge of MCS standards, WRAS and G3 unvented water.
- Experience in low-temperature hydraulic design and electrical fault-finding.
- Strong consultative communication to explain technical data to non-technical customers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical site surveys, agree system specs, produce on-site quotations, commission air source heat pump systems, handovers and remedial visits.
- Produce room-by-room heat loss calculations, system designs and performance assessments using design tools, compile proposals and quotations, and maintain CRM records.
- Act as Nominated Technical Supervisor for regional MCS projects, ensuring subcontracted installations meet MCS standards and Building Regulations.
- Provide phone-based and remote technical support; maintain relationships with installers; act as a consistent technical contact.
