Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Ward Receptionist to support the Renal Dialysis Unit at Southmead Hospital. You will provide a professional reception and administrative service for patients, visitors, and staff, maintaining accurate records and coordinating appointments and transport with confidentiality and a welcoming approach.

Working closely with nursing and medical teams, you will help deliver high-quality patient care, manage enquiries, and support seamless day-to-day unit

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors to the Renal Dialysis Unit.
• Manage telephone enquiries and direct to appropriate staff.
• Maintain patient records and appointments.
• Book appointments and coordinate transport arrangements for patients.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers and related paperwork.
• Order supplies and support referrals as needed.
• Facilitate communication between patients, nursing staff, doctors, and other departments.
