Job summary

Integrated Care 24 Ltd is seeking a Clinical Advisor to perform expert telephone assessments for NHS 111 using NHS Pathways, delivering evidence-based advice and ensuring the right care is directed to the right service at the right time.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team, handling diverse cases from fever in children to chest pain and safeguarding concerns, with ongoing clinical supervision and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Registered Adult Nurse or Paramedic with at least two years' post-registration experience.
• Excellent assessment, communication and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to stay calm and confident in complex or emotionally challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert clinical assessment of patients using NHS Pathways and professional judgement.
• Provide safe clinical advice, self-care guidance and appropriate onward referrals.
• Support patients through difficult conversations with empathy and professionalism.
• Offer clinical guidance to Health Advisors during escalated calls to ensure safety.
• Make timely clinical decisions, prioritise patient safety and assess risk.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the urgent care system for effective pathways.
• Maintain professional knowledge through training, supervision and CPD.
