Job summary

Integrated Care 24 (IC24) is seeking registered Adult Nurses or Paramedics for remote triage and clinical assessment in a fast‑paced urgent care setting. You will decide on appropriate care pathways, provide based advice and support colleagues across a 24/7 rota.

Training is provided, with six‑month progression toward hybrid working. NHS Pathways experience is welcome but not essential, as full training is offered where required.

Qualifications

• Registered Adult Nurse or Paramedic with at least two years' post‑registration experience in primary, urgent or emergency care.
• Excellent assessment, communication and clinical decision‑making skills.
• Able to remain calm and confident when managing complex or emotionally challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert clinical assessment using NHS Pathways and professional judgement.
• Provide safe clinical advice with self‑care guidance and onward referrals.
• Support patients through difficult situations with empathy and reassurance.
• Offer clinical guidance to Health Advisors during escalated or complex calls.
• Make timely clinical decisions prioritising patient safety within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with colleagues across urgent care to support patient pathways and continuity of care.
• Maintain professional excellence through training, supervision and CPD.
• Promote safe, high‑quality care and contribute to service improvements.
