Job summary

IC24 is seeking an experienced Clinical Advisor to assess patients by telephone using NHS Pathways, delivering expert clinical advice and ensuring patients receive the right care at the right time.

You will work within a multidisciplinary urgent care team, providing evidence-based guidance, supporting colleagues, and maintaining clinical excellence. Full training is provided, with potential hybrid working after six months.

Qualifications

• Registered Adult Nurse or Paramedic with at least two years' post-registration experience in primary/urgent care
• Excellent assessment, communication and clinical decision-making skills
• Calm under pressure with strong professional judgement

Responsibilities

• Delivering expert clinical assessment using NHS Pathways
• Providing safe, evidence-based self-care and onward referrals
• Supporting patients through difficult emotional situations with empathy
• Guiding Health Advisors during escalated calls
• Making timely clinical decisions within professional scope
• Collaborating with wider urgent care teams to ensure patient pathways
