Job summary

Aveni is seeking a hands-on Senior AI Software Engineer with strong full-stack experience to build and ship AI-powered products into production in the UK. You will leverage FinLLM and other LLMs to deliver end-to-end AI capabilities for advisers, analysts, and banking teams.

You will own features from design to deployment, ensure observability, reliability, and scalability, and mentor engineers while collaborating closely with product and engineering to ship customer-ready features.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering background with production LLM/AI apps.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript and production React.
• Experience with prompt engineering, agentic workflows, RAG and LLM integration.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered products integrating LLM capabilities, RAG and agentic workflows into real-world processes.
• Select models, orchestrate prompts, design systems, and implement AI tooling.
• Design evaluation, monitoring, and observability for production readiness.
• Develop scalable, event-driven microservices and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build modern, responsive React frontends for customer workflows.
• Architect cloud-native systems on AWS (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, RDS).
• Implement microservices and distributed-system principles with strong operational controls.
• Uphold engineering best practices: clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, and operational excellence.
• Diagnose and improve production reliability, latency, and cost for AI quality.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product and engineering teams.
