Job summary

Aveni is seeking a hands-on Senior AI Software Engineer to build and ship AI-powered products into production, using FinLLM and other LLMs. You will own features end-to-end, from model selection to deployment and observability, spanning backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure.

You'll work with Node.js/TypeScript, React, and AWS, delivering reliable, scalable AI-enabled workflows for financial services. This role focuses on production-grade systems and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering background with production LLM/AI apps.
• Hands-on with Node.js, TypeScript, and production React.
• Experience with prompt engineering, agentic workflows, RAG, and LLM integration.
• Knowledge of AI evaluation, monitoring, and observability.
• Deep AWS, cloud-native engineering, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Experience with microservices, messaging patterns, and distributed architectures.
• Commitment to clean code, testing, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Build production-ready AI-powered products integrating LLM capabilities, RAG, and agentic workflows.
• Select models, orchestrate prompts, design systems, and implement AI tooling.
• Design evaluation, monitoring, and observability for production readiness.
• Develop scalable, event-driven microservices and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build modern React frontends for customer workflows.
• Architect cloud-native systems on AWS (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, RDS).
• Implement microservices, distributed-system principles, and strong operational controls.
• Uphold engineering best practices: clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, and operational excellence.
• Diagnose and improve production behaviours related to reliability, latency, cost, and AI quality.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product/engineering teams to deliver features.
