Job summary

Aveni is seeking a hands-on Senior AI Software Engineer in the UK to build AI-powered products for banking, advisers and analysts. You will own end-to-end features across backend, frontend and cloud, leveraging FinLLM and other LLMs in production.

You will design systems, prompts, and AI tooling, ensure observability, and work with AWS and modern microservice architectures to ship customer-ready features.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering background with production LLM/AI apps.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and production React.
• Experience with prompt engineering, agentic workflows, RAG, and LLM integration.
• Knowledge of AI evaluation, monitoring, and observability.
• Deep AWS and cloud-native engineering knowledge; APIs and integration patterns.
• Experience with microservices, messaging, event-driven, distributed architectures.
• Commitment to clean code, testing, CI/CD, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered products integrating LLM capabilities and agentic workflows.
• Own features end-to-end across backend, frontend, and cloud infra.
• Design systems, prompts, and AI tooling; implement observability and reliability.
• Develop scalable microservices and modern React frontends.
• Architect AWS cloud-native solutions; ensure production readiness.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product to deliver customer-ready features.
