Aveni in the UK is hiring a hands-on Senior AI Software Engineer with strong full-stack experience to build production-ready AI-powered products. You will own features end-to-end, integrating LLM capabilities with microservices, React frontends, and cloud infrastructure on AWS.

Qualifications

• Production-grade AI/LLM applications experience.
• Strong hands-on with Node.js, TypeScript, and production React.
• Experience with prompt engineering, agentic workflows, RAG, and LLM integration.
• Knowledge of AI evaluation, monitoring, and observability.
• Deep understanding of AWS, cloud-native engineering, APIs, and integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build production-ready, AI-powered products integrating LLM capabilities into real-world processes.
• Select models, orchestrate prompts, design systems, and implement AI tooling.
• Design evaluation, monitoring, and observability for production readiness.
• Develop scalable, event-driven microservices and APIs using Node.js/TypeScript.
• Build modern React frontends to improve customer workflows.
• Architect cloud-native systems on AWS (Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, RDS).
• Implement microservices and distributed-system patterns with strong operational controls.
• Uphold engineering best practices: clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, reliability.
• Diagnose production behaviors affecting reliability, latency, and cost.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product teams to deliver features.
