Job summary

Core is a Microsoft Cloud MSP focused on delivering modern workplace solutions across the UK. We are seeking a Sales Manager (player-manager) to drive new business and oversee the new business sales team, with emphasis on Scotland and the North of England.

The role blends direct sales with light management, remote-friendly arrangements, and travel to client sites and offices. You will engage C-suite clients, shape campaigns, and help forecast opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in new business sales, ideally within IT services, managed services, or Microsoft partner ecosystem.
• Experience managing a sales pipeline and delivering against quota consistently.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, confident engaging at C-suite level.
• Experience in light management or sales team leadership, with ability to guide, coach, and support other sellers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver new business revenue against a defined sales quota.
• Act as a 'player-manager', providing pipeline management and coaching to two other sellers.
• Take overall responsibility for the new business sales number across the team.
• Develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing, partnerships, and the bid team.
• Collaborate with the bid team to develop high-quality bids, RFP responses, and proposals.
• Engage with prospective clients at C-suite level, delivering presentations and value propositions.
