Job summary

Soracom is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our fully remote team, based in the UK or Europe. You will be a trusted technical partner, helping customers derive value from our IoT platform throughout the lifecycle.

This role emphasizes collaboration with sales and product teams to quantify ROI and scale deployments. Responsibilities include leading discovery, designing solutions, delivering demos, and guiding customers from proof of concept to production.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience in a sales-engineering or customer-facing technical role.
• Track record of selling complex SaaS solutions to diverse customers.
• Strong understanding of IoT, cloud, networking, and related tech.
• Ability to build trusted relationships and communicate complex tech clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with customers throughout the lifecycle, from pre-sales to expansion.
• Partner with the sales team to identify growth opportunities and provide technical guidance.
• Develop trusted relationships with customers' technical stakeholders and act as a technical advisor.
• Lead discovery and solution design, translating requirements into Soracom solutions.
• Deliver customer demonstrations, architecture discussions, and proofs of concept.
• Guide onboarding, architecture reviews, and production deployment with internal teams.
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering to relay customer needs and recurring challenges.
• Stay current with IoT, cloud, networking tech and act as a technical thought partner.
• Create technical sales enablement materials and gather competitive intelligence.
