Job summary

James Andrews Recruitment is assisting a Housing Association in the South West by recruiting a Responsive Repairs Manager on a temporary contract. The role is home based with an immediate start, offering a daily rate of around £400 via Umbrella.

You will manage responsive repairs across a housing portfolio, lead damp and mould cases, resolve customer complaints, drive contractor performance and reduce backlogs. 35 hours weekly, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience managing responsive repairs in social housing or local authorities.
• Knowledge of damp and mould case resolution, contractor oversight and resident engagement.
• Experience handling customer complaints, escalations, and disrepair matters.
• Track record managing in-house teams, contractors and supply chain partners to hit targets.
• Experience monitoring repair KPIs and reducing backlogs.

Responsibilities

• Managing responsive repairs services across a housing portfolio.
• Overseeing complex damp and mould cases.
• Handling and resolving customer complaints and escalations.
• Driving contractor performance and service delivery.
• Chasing outstanding repairs and reducing backlogs.
• Conducting site visits and supporting operational teams on the ground.
