Worthing Homes is seeking an accomplished Repairs Manager to lead our responsive repairs service in Worthing. You will manage a high-performing team, drive quality, performance and efficiency, and maintain safety and value for money.

You will oversee damp, mould, condensation, and major repairs budgets, ensuring financial control and effective use of resources. Collaboration across the organisation will shape service delivery with data and customer insight guiding improvements.

We’re looking for an accomplished Repairs Manager to lead our responsive repairs service and help us deliver an outstanding experience for our customers.

This is a key role with responsibility for the performance of our responsive repairs service, our repairs inspectors and key contractor relationships. You’ll bring together people leadership, technical expertise, strong commercial judgement and a real focus on the customer to ensure repairs are safe, effective, compliant and provide value for money.

About the Role

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day delivery and continuous improvement of our responsive repairs service, leading and developing a high-performing team to deliver great outcomes for our customers. You’ll drive quality, performance and efficiency, manage key contractor relationships and ensure high standards of safety, customer service and value for money.

You’ll lead our approach to damp, mould and condensation, alongside managing responsive and major repairs budgets, ensuring strong financial control and the effective use of resources.

Working collaboratively across Worthing Homes, you’ll ensure responsive repairs align with our wider asset management priorities and provide senior leaders with clear assurance on performance, compliance and risk. You’ll use performance data and customer insight to shape the service, championing new ways of working and making the most of technology and digital solutions to make our services simpler, more efficient and better for our customers.

About You

You’ll bring strong experience of managing responsive repairs, maintenance or property services, with the confidence and credibility to lead and develop teams, manage contractor performance and deliver results. You’ll have experience of procurement, budget management and financial control, alongside a sound understanding of the regulatory and legal requirements affecting housing repairs and property maintenance.

You’ll be comfortable using performance data and customer insight to make informed decisions and improve services, with strong communication and relationship-building skills that enable you to influence, challenge and collaborate at all levels. Practical and solutions-focused, you’ll thrive in a busy operational environment and bring the judgement needed to balance customer outcomes, quality, compliance and value for money.

A relevant housing, building or construction qualification would be an advantage, but it isn’t essential. We’re more interested in the expertise, leadership and impact you can bring to the role.
