Job summary

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is recruiting a Band 6 Antimicrobial Pharmacist to join the antimicrobial stewardship team in primary care. The post focuses on delivering high-quality AMS services and meeting Welsh Government targets.

Part-time, 16.5 hours per week with core hours 8:00-16:30, and the option for home or remote working. Applicants should have GPhC registration, relevant primary care experience and excellent data and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in GP practices or primary care medicines management.
• Evidence of stakeholder facing experience.
• Ability to analyse complex data.
• Excellent communication in English (Welsh language desirable).
• Knowledge of medicines management and regulatory requirements.
• GPhC registered with CPD ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical expertise to the antimicrobial stewardship team.
• Contribute to Welsh Government tier 1 antimicrobial target action plan.
• Apply medicines management knowledge to improve AMS processes.
• Work with the AMS team to develop practice and staff competence.
• Welsh/English language capability is welcomed.
