Job summary

County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced pharmacist to lead antimicrobial stewardship activities across its hospital sites. You will work with consultants, microbiology, infection prevention and control, and nursing colleagues to optimise antimicrobial use and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Registered with GPhC in the UK.
Experience in antimicrobial stewardship or clinical pharmacology.
Leadership and staff development experience.

Responsibilities

Lead AMS ward rounds with microbiology and infection teams.
Provide pharmaceutical input to MDT meetings (C. difficile, HIV, OPAT).
Develop and review antimicrobial guidelines and prescribing standards.
Participate in education, audits, research and governance activities.
Deliver education and training to healthcare professionals.
Supervise pharmacy staff and support trainee development.
