Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Advanced Specialist Clinical Pharmacist – Antimicrobial Therapy, based at King's Mill Hospital. The role is part-time (22.5 hours per week) and focuses on antimicrobial stewardship across the Trust.

The post holder will lead antimicrobial guidelines, audit practice, and monitor usage and expenditure, while advancing patient safety and care quality within a clinically-led NHS Foundation Trust.

Qualifications

• BSc, BPharm or MPharm in Pharmacy.
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Diploma in clinical pharmacy from postgraduate study or equivalent experience.
• Specialist postgraduate qualification in antimicrobial drug therapy.
• Qualified independent prescriber.
• Evidence of commitment to CPD.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor antimicrobial prescribing practice across the Trust.
• Lead antimicrobial guidelines development and auditing.
• Monitor antimicrobial usage and expenditure; support stewardship targets.
• Influence clinical practice and lead positive change.
