Job summary

Cool Earth is seeking a Major Donor Manager to grow and develop major donor income by cultivating high-net-worth supporters and multi-year commitments. You will manage a portfolio, identify opportunities, and lead personalised engagement from research to stewardship, spanning the UK, US and worldwide.

With a new five-year strategy, you will craft compelling proposals, coordinate with senior leaders, and drive transformational gifts while honouring Indigenous leadership and community-driven

Qualifications

• Track record securing five- and six-figure gifts from individuals.
• Experience finding and developing new donor relationships.
• Confidence making asks for significant, multi-year gifts.
• Strong writing for persuasive tailored proposals.
• Portfolio and pipeline management with accurate records.
• Ethical judgement in due diligence and sensitive donor relations.
• Ability to influence across teams and with senior stakeholders.
• Commitment to Cool Earth’s mission and IPLC leadership respect.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a major donor portfolio across UK, US and international markets.
• Cultivate relationships through meetings, proposals and strategic asks.
• Prepare tailored proposals and donor communications.
• Coordinate with Senior Manager and leaders on significant asks.
• Ensure accurate CRM records and forecasting for pipeline health.
