Job summary

Carer Support Wiltshire is seeking an ambitious Major Donor Manager to grow major donor income by building relationships with high-net-worth individuals across the UK and internationally.

You will manage a portfolio, oversee the full donor journey from introduction to multi-year asks, and work with senior staff to secure five- and six-figure gifts with thoughtful stewardship.

This role offers remote work within the UK and the chance to shape a growing major giving programme.

Qualifications

• Track record of securing five- and six-figure gifts from individuals.
• Experience finding and developing new donor relationships.
• Ability to ask for significant gifts and multi-year support.
• Strong writing skills for persuasive proposals.
• Experience managing donor portfolios and income forecasts.
• Collaborating with senior stakeholders and trustees.

Responsibilities

• Developing a strong pipeline through research, referrals, networks and events.
• Building meaningful relationships through meetings, tailored engagement and compelling proposals.
• Securing five- and six-figure gifts, including multi-year commitments.
• Providing thoughtful stewardship that connects donors with the impact of their support.
• Working with colleagues, senior leaders and trustees to strengthen donor relationships.
• Managing due diligence, accurate CRM records, income forecasts and progress against targets.
