Job summary

Alongside is a Portuguese company partnering with international organizations to build and scale tech teams. We seek an IT Support Engineer for remote support to a UK client on a part-time basis (around 10 hours per month).

Responsibilities include supporting a Microsoft 365 environment, Outlook/Teams/Office/ Defender, user/permissions management, PC setup, Mimecast security, and RMM monitoring with NinjaOne. Strong English and independent work are required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of IT support, helpdesk L2 or similar experience.
• Hands-on Microsoft 365 environments experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and provide remote support.
• Excellent communication in English with clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote support to users in a Microsoft 365 environment.
• Support Outlook, Teams, Office and Microsoft Defender.
• Manage users and permissions.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day IT issues.
• Set up and configure new PCs and software.
• Support email security solutions (Mimecast).
• Remotely monitor endpoints using NinjaOne and other RMM tools.
• Support hardware management and ordering.
• Document basic IT processes.
