Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY UK LIMITED is seeking an HVDC Service Engineer to support the CMS HVDC link and related Hitachi Energy sites across the UK and Ireland, with primary work at Spittal HVDC Converter Station in Scotland. The role requires 24/7 on-call coverage and flexible maintenance tasks.

You will perform maintenance, fault finding, and 1st line support for HV modules, LV and mechanical systems, ensuring high system availability.

Qualifications

• HV (>132kV) substation experience required
• Maintenance / fault finding on HV/LV equipment
• MS Office familiarity (Word/Excel)
• Fluent written & spoken English
• Valid driving licence

Responsibilities

• Deliver maintenance and repair services for the CMS link
• Ensure high availability of the CMS system
• Control and perform work on HV/LV electrical, instrumentation and mechanical systems
• Provide 1st line support and assist with outages and stand-by coverage
• Maintain health, safety and environmental compliance on site
