Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking an engineer to join the Operations & Maintenance team at Hunterston HVDC Converter Station in Scotland. You will support planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring safe, compliant execution and up-to-date records.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with maintenance experience.
• Solid knowledge of electrical systems and practical installations.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient IT skills, including MS Office and MS Project.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Work Specifications, local instructions, statutory requirements and SHEQ policies.
• Conduct safety monitoring of Siemens Energy and contractor staff as needed.
• Plan and implement maintenance routines for plant and equipment within the contract scope.
• Develop processes to enhance service quality and ensure safe documentation.
• Plan daily work, anticipate problems, and maintain quality and time.
• Investigate faults, prepare reports, and update maintenance records in the system.
