Job summary

Mission Underwriters is seeking an Operations Coordinator to oversee and drive the delivery of operation services for our MGA. You will report to the Operations Manager and focus on performance, quality, and continuous improvement across internal and external stakeholders.

In a remote-first environment, you will act as the MGA SME, liaise with third-party providers, guide offshore activities, train the offshore team, and maintain process documentation to support accurate service delivery.

Qualifications

• 5 years of progressive experience in insurance (Company or MGA) preferred
• Client facing experience is necessary
• CII qualifications desired but not necessary
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills required to work with multiple partners
• Ability to work dynamically between key stakeholder teams
• Self-motivated and innovative with the ability to organise and manage own work

Responsibilities

• Act as the Operations subject matter expert for your allocated MGA, providing guidance and hands-on support across day-to-day operations
• Serve as a key liaison between the MGA and third-party service providers for smooth service delivery
• Collaborate with outsourced services to identify offshoring opportunities and align with priorities
• Deliver training and process knowledge to the outsourced team to ensure consistency
• Review and maintain up-to-date process documentation to support accurate delivery
• Be the primary point of contact for the outsourced services team and manage escalation
• Oversee agency management activities including application processes and due diligence
• Own and perform credit control and reconciliation activities including statements of account
• Manage task workflows to align with SLAs and deliverables
• Support regulatory checks and internal controls for compliance
• Contribute to onboarding new MGAs and defining service scopes
• Assist with continuous process improvements and development of new services
• Attend regular Service Review Meetings and MGA performance discussions
