Job summary

DUAL, part of Howden, is seeking an Operations Manager (12 months FTC) to oversee underwriting operations, binding authorities, compliance, bordereaux and finance processes. You will coordinate across underwriting, finance, compliance and technology teams, liaising with capacity providers and coverholders to ensure a robust control framework.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Delegated Authority operations within an MGA or carrier environment.
• Strong understanding of binder governance, compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Sound knowledge of bordereaux, claims and finance processes within a delegated underwriting context.
• Efficient, highly organised and detail-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solution-driven approach with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.

Responsibilities

• Support capacity provider requirements, including security letters and binder documentation.
• Assist with Binding Authority Agreements, renewals and profitability calculations.
• Respond promptly to monthly carrier queries and resolve outstanding matters.
• Maintain FCA-compliant processes and obtain approvals for policies and governance.
• Oversee bordereaux production, accuracy and financial settlements.
• Monitor policy issuance controls and data integrity.
• Manage relationships with third-party tech suppliers and oversee system changes.
