Job summary

Spectrum.Life is seeking a proactive, fully qualified Psychotherapist/Counsellor to provide remote EAP services across the UK and Ireland. You will conduct screening, risk assessments, crisis support and signposting via phone, chat and SMS.

The role requires accreditation (e.g., BACP, UKCP, BABCP) and at least 200 post‑qualified hours, with robust confidentiality, empathy and digital literacy to work across multiple systems.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy.
• Minimum 200 post-qualified counselling hours (supervisor verification may be requested).
• Full registered membership or accreditation with a recognised professional body (BACP, IACP, UKCP, BABCP, ACP, EAPA, COSCA, CORST, NCPS, APCP).

Responsibilities

• Carry out screening and needs assessments for EAP clients.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments including suicide/self-harm; implement safety plans.
• Provide immediate telephone crisis counselling and short-term interventions.
• Record accurate, timely clinical notes across digital case management systems.
• Maintain high-quality client experience and meet call/quality targets.
