Job summary

Spectrum.Life seeks a proactive Psychotherapist/Counsellor to provide remote access to professional EAP services, assess client needs, manage risk, and signpost resources. The role requires in-the-moment support, crisis containment, and confidential practice.

You will work evenings and one fixed weekend day, with three weeks of paid training. Join a supportive team delivering clinically backed wellbeing solutions to employers and individuals.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy.
• Minimum 200 post-qualified hours (supervisor verified may be requested).
• Registered membership with a professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP, BABCP).
• Confident across multiple digital systems and platforms.
• Ability to meet call volume and quality targets.

Responsibilities

• Carry out screening and needs assessments for EAP services.
• Conduct risk assessments including suicide/self-harm and domestic contexts.
• Provide immediate telephone crisis counselling and short-term interventions.
• Identify presenting problems and determine service response level.
• Be first point of contact via phone, SMS, live chat and WhatsApp.
• Maintain accurate clinical records across digital case systems.
• Collaborate with clinical governance on high-risk cases.
• Support development of the EAP service and digital tools.
