Job summary

Horizon Care, part of Natali Healthcare Solutions, is seeking an On-Call Operator for domiciliary care to support out-of-hours, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. This fully remote role requires calm decision-making and effective rota management to maintain service continuity.

You’ll be the first point of contact for staff and clients, handling urgent calls, logging actions, and ensuring safeguarding and CQC compliance, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in domiciliary care or health & social care.
• Strong rota management and problem-solving skills.
• Calm and confident decision-making under pressure.
• Access to reliable phone and internet during shifts.
• Desirable: PASSsystem or Care Planner experience.
• Desirable: NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care.
• Desirable: Working knowledge of CQC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handle urgent calls from carers, clients, and professionals.
• Resolve rota issues such as sickness and last-minute cover.
• Monitor visits via PASSsystem and ensure all visits are accounted for.
• Escalate safeguarding or critical concerns as needed.
• Cover care in an emergency.
• Log all calls and actions taken during the shift and provide clear handovers.
• Uphold safeguarding and CQC compliance at all times.
