Job summary

Horizon Care, part of Natali Healthcare Solutions, is seeking an On-Call Operator for our domiciliary care service. This fully remote, out-of-hours role covers evenings, weekends and bank holidays, handling urgent calls and ensuring continuity of care.

You will support staff and clients, with a focus on safeguarding and compliance. Role requires calm decision-making, strong rota management, and reliable connectivity.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in domiciliary care or health & social care.
• Strong rota management and problem-solving skills.
• Calm and confident decision-making under pressure.
• Access to reliable phone and internet during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Handle urgent calls from carers, clients, and professionals.
• Resolve rota issues such as sickness and last-minute cover.
• Monitor visits via PASSsystem and ensure all visits are accounted for.
• Escalate safeguarding or critical concerns as needed.
• Cover care in an emergency.
• Provide guidance and reassurance to care staff.
• Offer advice on incidents, emergencies, and company protocols.
• Ensure lone workers feel supported out of hours.
• Log all calls and actions taken during the shift.
• Deliver clear handovers to the office team.
• Uphold safeguarding and CQC compliance at all times.
