Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Digital Insights Analyst for a short-term remote contract to support a major digital transformation in retail. You will deliver insights across regions, ensure data integrity, and maintain dashboards for eCommerce performance.

You will work with GA4, Databricks and Power BI, investigate data discrepancies, and translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations during the website re-platforming programme.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital insights or web analytics.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of GA4, Databricks and Power BI.
• Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation or website re-platforming projects.
• Understanding of digital performance metrics, online trading and conversion optimisation.
• Strong troubleshooting and investigative skills, with the ability to resolve data and reporting issues.
• Familiarity with data engineering, ETL processes or cloud-based analytics platforms.
• Experience with website migrations, tagging implementations or analytics platform integrations.
• Excellent stakeholder communication, presentation and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regular digital performance reporting and insights across multiple regions and business units.
• Analyse online trading trends, customer behaviour, conversion performance and digital journeys.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI.
• Use Google Analytics 4 to assess website performance, customer activity and conversion trends.
• Support technical and business teams throughout the website re-platforming programme.
• Assist with the implementation, integration and optimisation of data solutions in Databricks.
• Investigate data discrepancies, tracking issues and reporting anomalies, identifying root causes and suitable resolutions.
• Validate data flows and platform integrations while translating complex datasets into actionable business recommendations.
