Job summary

Alder Grove House Limited is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to own CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and monitoring for client workloads. You will maintain bare-metal, virtualization, and containerized stacks, ensuring security, backups, and performance across a polyglot tech environment.

You will work remotely within UK timezones, collaborating directly with engineering to optimize Rust, Elixir, Python, and database workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years running production Linux infrastructure.
• Deep comfort with Docker, Postgres, and Caddy or Nginx.
• Scripting fluency in Bash + at least one of Python / Go / Rust.
• Observability instincts — tracing, metrics, structured logs.

Responsibilities

• Own CI/CD, deploy pipelines, backup strategy, and monitoring across every client workload.
• Keep compose files, Caddyfiles, and runbooks readable — infrastructure as documentation.
• Harden the stack: secrets rotation, access reviews, incident response, backups actually restored.
• Partner with engineering on performance work — profiling in Rust, GC tuning in Elixir, query plans in Postgres.
