Job summary

Ripjar, a remote-first software company, seeks a DevOps Engineer to ensure the reliability and security of its hybrid cloud infrastructure. You will improve core infra, automate deployments, and support developers with self-serve tooling.

Candidates should have strong Linux admin experience, IaC/CM tooling, cloud proficiency (AWS/Azure), Kubernetes, Docker, and security-focused monitoring. Remote UK-wide role fromCheltenham or elsewhere.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux administration and security experience on virtual and physical hosts.
• Experience with IaC and CM tooling: Ansible, Terraform, Helm.
• Cloud experience: AWS, Azure.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Automation skills with Bash, Python, JavaScript, and GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of security testing and monitoring tools (SAST, SIEM).
• Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Datadog, OpenTelemetry.

Responsibilities

• Automate deployment, operation and maintenance of systems in a hybrid cloud using IaC and CM tooling.
• Administer systems and applications on Linux.
• Design, deploy and maintain IP networks.
• Create self-serve automation for infrastructure requests.
• Enhance security by integrating testing into build/deploy pipelines.
• Monitor reliability and security of applications and infrastructure.
