Job summary

Scrumconnect is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to build, optimise, and operate AWS infrastructure across multiple environments. You will design secure, scalable architectures for React front-end apps and microservices, using serverless components and Kafka integrations.

The role requires strong IaC skills (Terraform/CloudFormation), CI/CD expertise, and experience with Kong Enterprise, IAM/MFA, and FinOps governance. Remote UK work with occasional travel is possible.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting AWS infrastructure.
• Experience managing multiple environments within AWS.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
• Experience supporting modern architectures including React front-end, microservices, Lambda, and Kafka.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of API management with Kong Enterprise.
• Experience implementing cloud governance and FinOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage multiple AWS environments from development to production.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Git-based tooling.
• Manage AWS infrastructure for React front-end apps, microservices, Lambda, and Kafka.
• Support ETL and RPA integrations.
• Implement secure networking patterns (Transit Gateway, PrivateLink).
• Deploy and manage Kong Enterprise API Gateway.
• Administer IAM/MFA and security controls for teams.
• Ensure resources are tagged and governed under FinOps standards.
• Monitor performance and reliability across environments.
• Collaborate to improve automation and deployment efficiency.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Contribute to cloud security best practices.
• Support WCAG 2.2 AAA accessibility standards.
