Job summary

Nomad Digital is seeking a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to own CI/CD automation across a hybrid railway-ready estate. You will manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments with Ansible/Puppet, and work with Linux systems, networking and virtualization to ensure secure, scalable releases.

You will collaborate with developers and QA to improve automation, test coverage and tooling while adopting AI-assisted engineering practices in a controlled, auditable way.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or equivalent with relevant certifications.
• Experience in CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
• Strong Linux, networking and virtualization basics.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain automation code across hybrid estate.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines, templates and runners (GitLab CI/CD).
• Coordinate releases and ensure safe, testable rollouts with rollback capabilities.
• Collaborate with developers to test and improve deployment tooling and processes.
• Adopt AI-assisted engineering tools with proper governance and traceability.
