Job summary

LSL Property Services plc in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Credit Control & Cash Collections Analyst to join the Central Finance team. You will manage customer accounts, secure payments and protect cash flow, while coordinating with various internal teams across the Group.

The role offers a path to develop in credit control within a large property services group, with a focus on accuracy, relationships and process improvements. Hybrid working and competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control, collections, or finance administration.
• Minimum of 2 years’ administration experience, ideally in a credit control environment.
• Strong communication skills with a professional telephone manner and excellent written communication.
• Good understanding of credit control procedures and debt recovery processes.
• Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and finance systems.
• A proactive, resilient, and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and monitor outstanding balances.
• Identify arrears and take action to recover payment.
• Contact customers by phone, email and letter to recover overdue debt.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlement agreements where appropriate.
• Monitor accounts, recover overpayments and maintain records.
• Reconciling customer ledgers and investigate discrepancies.
• Issue monthly statements and keep account information accurate.
• Escalate bad debts and high-risk cases per procedures.
• Review customer accounts to identify credit risks and exposure.
• Collaborate with Management Accountants, Branch Teams, Legal Teams, Solicitors, Debt Collection Agencies and customers to resolve issues.
