Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment seeks a Commercial Manager to build a new department with a seat on the leadership team. The role is fully remote across the UK with occasional travel to the Lincolnshire head office and Europe for customer visits.

You will own the commercial plan, establish processes and lead a scalable sales function, including pipeline, forecasts and CRM-driven reporting, with progression into a leadership role and profit share after 12 months.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial sales or business development experience in a B2B environment.
• Experience in IT, software or technology sales preferred.
• Track record of building pipelines with forecasting and CRM reporting.
• Ability to manage own workload and work independently.
• Ambition to take ownership of a department.
• Pharmaceutical experience is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Owning and delivering the commercial plan, turning strategy into clear priorities, targets and forecasts.
• Building a structured sales pipeline from first contact through to close and handover.
• Winning new business across regulated markets in the UK and Europe.
• Growing existing accounts through renewals, pricing reviews and upsell opportunities.
• Setting up the CRM, reporting and sales processes that make growth repeatable.
• Representing the business at customer meetings, industry events and leadership level.
