As a Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the commercial input into bids and proposals to develop a suitable risk and reward balance


• Leading contract negotiations with customers and key partners


• Providing a contract management service, ensuring performance aligns with contractual requirements


• Identifying and reporting key obligations, liabilities and risks to the business


• Applying company policies and procedures throughout the bid, negotiation and contract lifecycle


• Maintaining contractual records, correspondence and key decision documentation

As a Commercial Manager, your experience will include:

• A significant record of commercial management, ideally within the defence sector, across UK and/or export markets


• Drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, including terms and conditions, NDAs, MoUs, teaming and licence agreements


• Structuring, managing and closing complex negotiations


• A strong understanding of contract law and compliance and regulatory frameworks


• A relevant degree, and ideally membership of a professional body such as IACCM or WC&C, would be advantageous


• Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse complex commercial issues
