Job summary

Dorchester Search & Selection seeks an experienced sales professional to manage external product and application awareness for contractors, authorities, architects and engineering practices across the South West and into South Wales. The role involves supporting CPD delivery, converting specifications to orders, and regional growth from an existing customer base.

Qualifications

• Extensive CPD delivery to architects and engineers.
• 2+ years in construction materials with authorities/consultants.
• Strong contract and commercial knowledge (pricing, bids, tendering).
• Experience in customer-facing roles with project contract discussions.
• Willingness to travel frequently in SW and Wales.
• Knowledge of civil engineering detailing advantageous.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Glenigan, HubSpot.
• IT literacy in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Home base North Somerset / Bristol, commutable to M5/M4.

Responsibilities

• Develop product/app awareness to contractors, authorities, architects and engineering practices.
• Assist prospects/customers in understanding product specifications for concept/design work.
• Collaborate with external partners to generate new specifications and convert to orders.
• Respond proactively to customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
• Contribute to growth by securing new business and increasing turnover from existing customers.
• Attend exhibitions and buyer events.
• Provide CPDs to architects and engineers.
• Work well as part of a team and support team requirements.
