Job summary

Dorchester Search and Selection is seeking a Sales Manager to manage Sales Development to Civil and Consulting Engineers, covering the South West of England and Wales with base in Bristol/Bath/Gloucester area. The role focuses on growing new business, leveraging CPDs to architects and engineers, and supporting project discussions with contractors.

Qualifications

• CPDs to architects and engineers.
• Minimum 2 years in construction materials sector with Local authorities, Consulting Engineers & Architects on commercial developments/infrastructure projects.
• Be highly numerate with sound contract and commercial knowledge, covering contract pricing, bids and tendering processes.
• Experience in customer facing roles within the construction industry where you have participated in and/or led project contract discussions to secure new business.
• Knowledge of civil engineering detailing and construction techniques would be advantageous but not prerequisites; work experience and attitude matter most.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D (Desirable), Glenigan and Hubspot.
• IT literacy with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; driving licence.

£45,000 to £50,000 Salary plus Bonus + 33 days holiday + Company Car/Allowance

Based in the Bristol, Bath, Gloucester area to cover the South West of England and Wales, ideally you will be central and commutable to the M4/M5 junction to aid travel.

Job Description:

Based from home, managing Sales Development to Civil and Consulting Engineers. Ideally you will have experience within the construction industry where you have participated in or led project contract discussions to secure new business. Knowledge of civil engineering detailing and construction techniques would be advantage but not essential as work experience and attitude will be the overriding factor.

You will be joining a ground-breaking market leader with the backing of a Global well-established group. selling an innovative set of environmentally friendly solutions mainly to Civil Engineers and Consulting Engineers, joining a close-knit team at a time of expansion (as we grow from 4 to 5 Sales managers) to handle current demand and future potential. You will need to be proactive in your Sales approach however you will inherit the area customer base and share a Telemarketer who will make some new appointments for you too.

The Role:

To be considered:

• Extensive experience in providing CPDs to architects and engineers
• Minimum 2 years experience working in the construction materials sector with Local authorities, Consulting Engineers & Architects on commercial developments/infrastructure projects.
• Be highly numerate with sound contract and commercial knowledge, covering contract pricing, bids and tendering processes
• Experience in customer facing roles within the construction industry where you have participated in and/or led project contract discussions to secure new business.
• Knowledge of civil engineering detailing and construction techniques would be advantageous but, are by no means a prerequisite as work experience and attitude will be the overriding factor.
• Experience of using AutoCAD, Civil 3D software (Desirable), Glenigan and Hubspot
• IT literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
• Full UK driving licence.
• Full valid UK Driving License
