Job summary

National Skills Agency is seeking exceptional Skills Coaches to support apprentices across the UK, including remote and hybrid options. You will deliver personalised 1:1 coaching, assess progress, and help learners embed knowledge in real workplace settings.

You will collaborate with employers, provide constructive feedback, and participate in safeguarding and quality assurance. A strong background in apprenticeship coaching and digital learning tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching apprentices within a UK-based training provider.
• Strong understanding of e-portfolios and digital learning tools.
• Ability to embed knowledge in practice and drive measurable impact.
• Recognised teaching qualification (AET/CET/DET/PGCE).
• Assessor qualification (A1/CAVA).

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of apprentices with 1:1 coaching.
• Assess project work and portfolios with detailed feedback.
• Conduct regular progress reviews with measurable goals.
• Support learning embedded in workplace practice.
• Deliver or support workshop sessions (virtual or in person).
• Use learning platforms to document progress and evidence outcomes.
• Build relationships with employers to align learning with goals.
• Uphold safeguarding and compliance standards.
• Identify opportunities to stretch and challenge learners.
• Contribute to curriculum and delivery improvements.
