Job summary

Real Life Options in Turriff is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for weekend and holiday cover in a part-time role. You will help adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism and other conditions to live independently.

Responsibilities include personal care, medication administration, cooking and budgeting, plus supporting community participation. Training is provided, and the role offers progression opportunities within a supportive charity.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is a bonus, but full training will be provided.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Support Worker, you’ll be part of a committed team helping adults with:

• Learning disabilities
• Mental health needs
• Autism
• Epilepsy
• Physical disabilities
• Challenging behaviour

Your day may involve:

• Supporting with personal care and administering medication
• Helping with cooking, cleaning and household tasks
• Budgeting and financial planning
• Providing social support and enabling community participation
• Attending team meetings and maintaining accurate records
• Encouraging independence and enhancing quality of life

You’ll work a variety of shifts, including early mornings (from 7:30am), evenings (until 10pm) , weekends, and public holidays. Sleepovers and waking night shifts may also be required. Every second weekend off.
