Job summary

The Oaks, Rubery, part of EQ Care, is seeking a Qualified Registered Nurse to join a 71-bed dementia and nursing home. You will lead clinical care, manage medication administration, and support a team to deliver compassionate, person-centred care every day.

Flexible/bank hours are available to cover leave and sickness, with pro rata salary depending on experience. UK resident with valid NMC PIN required; IT skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Registered Nurse with valid NMC PIN.
• Experience in a care home setting desirable.
• Proficient IT skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Able to work collaboratively in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management to ensure smooth shift handover.
• Support residents and enable the person’s daily living.
• Represent the home professionally to residents, staff and visitors.
• Liaise with GPs and MDT members to promote excellent care.
• Perform additional duties as required by the Home Manager.

Role Overview

Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate with the management team and make sure that all relevant information is handed over at the change of shifts
• Ensure each person who lives in the home is supported, and enabled the person’s way – every day
• Represent The Oaks brand by maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for all team members, residents, and visitors.
• To liaise with people who live and work in the home along with, GPs’ and other multi-disciplinary team members to promote excellent care
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support the overall functioning of the home.

Skills, Qualifications and Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience within a similar environment desirable
• Valid NMC Pin - no restrictions
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
