Job summary

The Oaks, a CQC Outstanding-rated 71-bed nursing and dementia specialist care home in Rubery, is seeking a Qualified Registered Nurse to lead by example and provide compassionate care to residents. You will be responsible for medication administration, liaising with families and external departments, and supporting a caring team in a well-equipped home environment.

The role requires an active NMC pin and strong IT skills, with the option to work up to 44 hours per week including alternate

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience within a similar environment desirable.
• Valid NMC Pin - no restrictions.
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the management team and ensure information is handed over at shift changes.
• Ensure each resident is supported and enabled in their daily activities.
• Represent The Oaks by maintaining a professional, welcoming presence for staff, residents, and visitors.
• Liaise with GPs and multi-disciplinary teams to promote care and coordination.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support the home.
