Job summary

The Rowans, a 66-bed nursing and dementia specialist home in Wigan, part of EQ Care Group, seeks a Qualified Registered Nurse to lead by example and support a dedicated team. You’ll manage medication administration and liaise with families, GPs, and multi-disciplinary staff to deliver exceptional care.

Opened in 2023, The Rowans blends modern comfort with a welcoming home environment. Applicants must have an NMC pin and be able to work 8am–8pm, with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience within a similar environment desirable.
• Valid NMC Pin – no restrictions.
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the management team and ensure handover information at shift changes.
• Ensure residents are supported and enabled daily.
• Represent The Rowans with a professional, welcoming presence for staff, residents, and visitors.
• Liaise with GPs and multi-disciplinary teams to promote excellent care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support operations.

Role Overview

You will provide comfort to those that need it most, liaise with external departments, families, team members and management.
