We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a newly established therapeutic children's residential home in Beckenham, supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of a new children's service from the ground up—driving the home’s registration, developing a dedicated care team, and ensuring the highest standards of therapeutic and trauma-informed care.
As Service Manager of this children’s residential home, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering impactful, high-quality care and making a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead on the registration of the home with Ofsted and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements
Oversee the day-to-day management of the home as Home Manager, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and structured environment
Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing residential care team
Implement and monitor individual care plans in line with each child’s emotional, social, and developmental needs
Liaise effectively with local authorities, healthcare professionals, families, and partner agencies
Promote a culture of safeguarding, therapeutic support, and continuous improvement
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial or deputy managerial role within a children’s residential EBD setting
Proven knowledge of Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted inspection frameworks
Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills
A commitment to trauma-informed, child-centred practice
Competitive salary of up to £70,000 (dependent on experience)
